Andrew Clarke
Andrew was a
Solicitor and Chief Crown Prosecutor for
North Wales/Dyfed Powys for seven years and
latterly Chief Crown Prosecutor for Severn
Thames for three years.
He is experienced in dealing with trials for the prosecution and defence in the Crown Court and also the Higher Courts, having appeared before the Court of Appeal on a number of occasions and also the House of Lords, including representing the Crown in DPP v Jackson.
He has recently become the appointed person for England and Wales under Part 5, Chapter 3 of the new Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 for the purposes of reporting to Parliament.
