Anna Pope
Her practice encompasses predominantly Criminal and Family work although she has experience of Civil, Licensing and Employment cases.
Anna has a particular interest in Asylum and Immigration Law and has recently presented a seminar to solicitors in Cheshire and North Wales. Prior to joining chambers, she spent 2 years volunteering at a Refugee Forum where her work involved assessing claims for Judicial Review, making applications for reconsideration and researching whether new evidence will assist in a fresh asylum claim. She now regularly undertakes Pro Bono work for charities supporting refugees and asylum seekers. She has particular experience of cases of unlawful detention of a non UK national by the Home Office.
Anna has a keen interest in Judicial Review and is available to offer advices on the merits of an application.
Anna received a Benefactors’ scholarship from Middle Temple to complete the BVC.

Criminal Law Specialisms
Anna has experience of a wide range of criminal work prosecuting and defending in both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court, where she has conducted trials, preliminary hearings, disclosure hearings and appeals. She is a Category 2 Prosecutor.
She has also conducted a number of benefit fraud prosecutions and proceeds of crime applications and has particular experience in defending clients charged with motoring offences.
Anna has a particular interest in representing clients who are non UK Nationals and is able to conduct conferences with clients in French and Spanish.
Civil Law Specialisms
Anna represents both claimants and defendants at small claims and fast track hearings. Anna also advises on quantum in Personal Injury cases.
Family Law Specialisms
Anna has experience of the Family Proceedings Court and the County Court, where she has been instructed in private law children cases on behalf of parents.

Other Interests
Anna enjoys open water swimming and cycling and regularly competes in triathlons. She has a keen interest in travelling.
