Rhys Rowlands
Born in Bangor and a graduate of University College, London and awarded a
Masters Degree by the University of Wales, Rhys Rowlands practised as a
Solicitor in private practice from admission in 1982 until being called to the
Bar in 1986, following which he joined chambers as a pupil.
He is a senior prosecutor who also has a strong defence practice and is able to and does conduct trials in Welsh.
He regularly appears for the prosecution and defence in a number of high profile cases, including murder, rape and indecent assaults.
He has also been appointed by the Attorney General to undertake category A prosecution work for Government Departments.
He also undertakes licensing work and was appointed a Recorder in 2000.
